Biophysics - An Introduction

Within physics degrees, one of the growing areas of interest for students has been in the field of Biophysics and medical physics. These areas are being driven by research developments and student interest. Biophysics tends to be a broader, more general area where both physics and biology crossover. Medical physics is applied more to treatment and predominantly techniques. It less frequently taught as a course and when taught, it is usually at the postgraduate level and often by outside consultants and within a hospital environment. This book neatly fills the gap in the Wiley list of physics textbooks and is in exactly the area where there is a growing need for the book. Biophysics courses are increasing in number, yet there are still no defining textbooks. ..
